Your invitation for professionals to offer their individual competition reports are an excellent idea and will make for interesting reading. I am disappointed to report that the Garden City Festival competition has been cancelled because we did not receive enough entries to make the competition a successful event. I hope that Competitors and Professionals alike, realise that this is only BAD for ALL involved.
I have heard some criticism of the venue, but competitors should realise that we are fortunate in this country to have venues, which are spacious when Compared to the venues and floor conditions that I have personally danced on overseas.
Please support all competitions to raise awareness of our sport/art. Also, why is it that there are so few men involved in dancing in this Country?
I find this so interesting, when countries such as Italy, who are renowned for their macho and romantic guys, are leading the world at the present time with the BEST BALLROOM DANCING in the WORLD.
Is there something wrong with the men in this country????
